Adaptation of content for web and social media Position Profile: Junior Writer Position Objective To write and support the production of informative content for AD Noticias, adhering to editorial guidelines, basic data verification, and emphasizing clarity, timeliness, and quality—contributing to the outlet’s daily digital coverage. Main Responsibilities * Write news briefs, short updates, and timely content. * Support coverage of events, press conferences, and local/national topics of interest. * Conduct information research and perform basic verification of data and sources. * Follow up on editor-assigned topics (updates, context, background). * Propose topics and journalistic angles aligned with the daily agenda and trends. * Adapt content for web and social media (headlines, subheadings, short copy). * Upload articles to the CMS and apply proper formatting (basic SEO, tags, links, photos, and photo captions). * Maintain constant communication with the editorial team for revisions and corrections. * Comply with style guidelines, journalistic ethics, and internal media policies. Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Number of published articles and assignment completion rate. * Writing quality (spelling, clarity, structure). * Data accuracy and correct use of sources. * Timeliness of delivery and responsiveness during coverage. * Basic digital performance metrics (views, reach, engagement) as reference points for improvement. Position Requirements **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Literature, Political Science, or related field (graduated or in progress). **Experience:** * 2 years of writing experience, professional internships, or social service in media (preferred). Technical Knowledge * Journalistic writing (inverted pyramid, headlines, leads). * Spelling and grammar. * News judgment and information prioritization. * Use of official sources and basic verification. * Basic CMS proficiency (WordPress or similar) (preferred). * Familiarity with editorial SEO principles (preferred). * Basic use of digital tools (Google Docs, email, Drive).
