Our curriculum has already been translated into Spanish; your role is to review the Spanish content against the English source — first as a manuscript review, and again after typesetting — to ensure the final published materials are scientifically accurate, instructionally equivalent, culturally appropriate for Texas Spanish\-speaking students, and visually correct. This is **not** a translation role and **not** a basic proofreading role. It is a transadaptation QA role that requires judgment about whether translated content actually works for the intended classroom — and a careful eye for catching issues that emerge during typesetting. You will be checking that: * The Spanish version teaches the same scientific concepts as the English version * Examples, phenomena, and cultural references make sense to a Texas Spanish\-speaking student (e.g., regional foods, weather, geography, idioms) * Register and reading level match the target grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12\) * Scientific terminology is correct and consistent with what Texas teachers and students expect * Embedded image text, labels, diagrams, and assessment items still function as intended * Sentence frames, vocabulary supports, and ELPS scaffolds remain effective in Spanish Scope of Work This is a two\-stage review process. You'll typically review the same document twice: once as a Word manuscript, and again after it has been laid out in InDesign and exported as a PDF.
