




Position Summary: We are seeking an Editorial Graphic Designer to create, adapt, and prepare files for printing, validating dimensions, designs, and controlling production quality. DE C.V.** OPEN POSITION – EDITORIAL GRAPHIC DESIGN WORKING DAYS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY WORK HOURS: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM WITH A ONE-HOUR LUNCH BREAK SALARY: $12,000 FIXED \+ $2,000 MONTHLY BONUS (NET) STATUTORY BENEFITS EXPERIENCE: · Proficiency in design software · 4 years of experience · Experience in offset printing design (preferred) · Knowledge of ISO standards · Understanding of structural layouts REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor's degree JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Create, adapt, and prepare print-ready files (interiors and covers). · Validate dimensions, bleeds, margins, resolution, and fonts with the end client. · Validate cover and back-cover designs and content with the client. · Confirm model quantities with the client. · Physically inspect plates in the printing area to ensure they are in good condition prior to production. · Generate and review plates according to the Production Order (PO). · Ensure the design matches exactly the requested product (spot color, line art, white space, etc.). · Review and validate that each file matches the PO 100% before releasing to production. · Confirm notebook type, layout, quantities, and printing method. · Release only correct and authorized files. · Place relevant information for each PO into an envelope, including physical samples, client approval, and quantity confirmation. · Conduct supervision rounds every 30 minutes on the production floor (printing, cutting, folding, finishing). · On the production floor, verify that work aligns with the PO. · Ensure printing (spot color, line art, etc.) is accurate. · Ensure processes (cutting, folding, stitching, etc.) match requirements. · Detect deviations in real time and halt production if errors occur. · Act as a filter between design and production. · Validate first pieces (machine startup samples). · Authorize continuation of the process. · Prevent rework and waste. · Maintain constant communication with printers, cutters, folders, and finishing staff. · Participate in production planning regarding analysis of production times, plate inventory, ink inventory, and cover/interior inventory. · Request plates from the plate manufacturer supplier.
