




**Position:** Kitchen Assistant **Area:** General Services / Hospital Kitchen **Workplace:** San Piago Medical Center Toluca **Employment type:** Full-time **Schedule:** Morning or afternoon shift (rotating based on operational needs) **Salary:** $8,480 monthly net **Job Objective** Assist in the preparation, cleaning, distribution, and serving of meals to hospital staff, patients, and visitors, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and food safety standards. **Main Responsibilities** * Assist in basic food preparation (cutting, peeling, portioning, mixing). * Keep work areas, utensils, and equipment clean and organized. * Wash and disinfect fruits, vegetables, and kitchen utensils according to hospital protocols. * Assist in meal distribution to different hospital departments or areas. * Monitor proper use of supplies, avoiding waste. * Follow personal hygiene, safety, and food safety procedures. * Assist in dishwashing and general area cleaning. * Report any equipment or material issues to the immediate supervisor. * Collaborate with the chef, dietitian, or area supervisor in preparing daily menus. **Requirements** * Education: Completed secondary school (high school or food and beverage course preferred). * Experience: Minimum 6 months in institutional kitchen, industrial cafeteria, or hospital kitchen. * Knowledge: * Good practices in cleaning and disinfection. * Use and care of kitchen utensils. * Skills: * Teamwork. * Responsibility and punctuality. * Speed and attention to detail. * Service attitude and respect toward patients and colleagues.
