Lead teams and ensure compliance with organic standards. **Job Objective:** Supervise and coordinate agricultural operations in cacao plantations under agroforestry systems, ensuring compliance with production, quality, traceability, and environmental sustainability standards. **Responsibilities:** * Technical planning and daily field operations management. * Supervise staff and ensure task completion. * Harvest management. * Post-harvest quality assurance. * Ensure efficient use of agricultural resources and equipment. * Implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and safety protocols. * Report progress and issues to management. * Data monitoring. * Organic Nutrition: Coordinate preparation and application of mineral sprays (Bordeaux mixture, sulfur-calcium), liquid biofertilizers, and solid soil amendments. * Biomass Management: Supervise selective pruning for shade regulation and nutrient recycling within the Agroforestry System (AFS). * Soil Health: Implement soil regeneration plans using compost, vermicompost, and living/dead plant cover. **Requirements:** * Experience in agricultural management and personnel supervision. * Knowledge of crop management (cacao preferred), and use and application of agricultural inputs. * Understanding of "agroecological" farming. * Plantation management focused on organic agriculture. * Ability to solve problems in the field. * Willingness to work in field conditions. * Data management and georeferencing skills. * GIS usage and application. * Knowledge of responsible soil use and management. * Plant production, nurseries, and variety propagation. * Production of agricultural inputs (bioleachates, mineral sprays). * Livestock Management: Basic knowledge of cattle (or small ruminants) management under silvopastoral or regenerative systems. * MIPE. * Agroforestry System (AFS) management. * Office software proficiency. * **Regulatory Knowledge:** Familiarity with organic certification standards (e.g., USDA Organic, EU Organic) to ensure field preparations do not compromise certification. **Livestock Management (if integrated into the system):** * **Planned Grazing:** Execute pasture rotation to prevent soil compaction and ensure grass recovery. * **Animal Welfare:** Supervise mineral supplementation, preventive health control, and water availability for livestock. * **AFS Integration:** Manage manure utilization for compost/biol production that will be returned to the cacao plantation. **Leadership Competencies:** * Decision-making. * Teamwork. * Effective communication. **Technical Competencies:** * Agricultural machinery operation. * Fertilization and irrigation knowledge. * Pest and disease control. **Behavioral Competencies:** * Responsibility. * Organization. * Adaptability. **Skills:** * Personnel management. * Agricultural data analysis. * Negotiation and conflict resolution.
