Coordination of engineering disciplines and technical project management Description and Details of Responsibilities Position Objective The Water Treatment Plant Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering of water and wastewater treatment systems for industrial, municipal, and pharmaceutical applications. This role will participate in hydraulic design, technology selection, process integration, preparation of calculation reports, system modeling, quantity take-offs, and development of budgets and unit prices for multidisciplinary projects. We seek a technically proficient candidate with an integrated understanding of engineering, construction, and cost management, capable of transforming operational requirements into efficient, cost-effective, and executable solutions. Experience and Requirements Engineering and Design * Design of treatment plants for: * Potable water * Wastewater * Industrial reuse * Tertiary and advanced treatment systems Develop conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering. Prepare: * Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) * P\&ID diagrams * Calculation reports * Mass balances * Hydraulic calculations * Process layouts Select treatment technologies: * MBBR * SBR * MBR * Activated sludge * Ultrafiltration * Reverse osmosis * DAF * Multimedia filters * UV disinfection and chlorination Design hydraulic systems: * Pumping * Piping * Tanks * Aeration * Recirculation * Coordinate disciplines: * Mechanical * Electrical * Instrumentation * Civil * Automation Costs and Budgeting * Perform quantity take-offs and prepare itemized cost catalogs. * Develop unit price analysis. * Integrate EPC and turnkey project budgets. * Quote equipment and systems with national and international suppliers. * Evaluate costs for: * Construction * Installation * Operation * Maintenance * Participate in tenders and technical\-economic proposals.
