Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.**Job Responsibilities:** **Job Objective** This position provides support in mechanical-electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, general welding, basic electronics, facility maintenance, and cross-departmental assistance. It is strongly focused on supporting production in the aforementioned areas to keep equipment operating under optimal conditions and to provide facility support wherever required. **Key Responsibilities** * Carry out scheduled weekly preventive maintenance activities; submit the completed activity folder every Monday. If any scheduled activity cannot be performed for any reason, a justification must be provided and the activity rescheduled as soon as possible. * Ensure equipment operates under optimal conditions during each shift, and resolve any failures as quickly as possible to avoid production interruption; request support when necessary. * Strictly monitor failure generation and minimize or eliminate downtime caused by such failures, maintaining a historical record and comparative analysis for review and follow-up. * Conduct random inspections during your shift to identify equipment at risk of failure or potential damage, proactively coordinate with the shift supervisor to schedule immediate repairs. * Consistently support the department in achieving its planned goals and objectives, as well as the company’s global plans. * Consistently apply the 5S process to maintain order and cleanliness in the area, and ensure other technicians in this area comply correctly. **Education and Experience** * High school diploma or completed technical degree. * Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a maintenance technician. **Required Competencies** * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Experience applying 5S. * Ability to operate general tools, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electric and oxy-acetylene welding equipment; knowledge of instrumentation and computing. * Service-oriented attitude. * Teamwork and ability to work under pressure. * Sense of urgency. * Experience with numerical control (NC) equipment, including operation and programming. * Knowledge of paint application robots is preferred. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
