Working under agile methodologies (Scrum) and code optimization Senior Web Developer – Liferay **Location:** Mexico City, Venustiano Carranza (Moctezuma 2nd Section) **Work Model:** Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 **Salary:** $65,000 MXN net monthly (mixed compensation model, $20,000 on payroll) About the Position A growing technology company is looking to add a **Senior Web Developer with proven Liferay experience** to its team, to participate in the development and maintenance of **enterprise web platforms** and high-traffic corporate portals. This role targets technical profiles with solid expertise in **Liferay 7 or later**, capable of engaging in development, analysis, and architecture definition. Main Responsibilities * Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of web applications on **Liferay**. * Building and customizing portlets, themes, and layouts. * Technical and functional requirements analysis. * Participation in front\-end and back\-end architecture definitions. * Implementation of interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. * Application of Object-Oriented Programming, MVC, and design patterns. * Implementation and validation of workflows and processes in Liferay. * Working under agile methodologies (Scrum). * Code review, optimization, and refactoring. * Identification of technical risks during sprints. Essential Requirements * Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. * **Minimum 3 years of experience developing with Liferay.** * **Proven experience with Liferay 7 or later.** * Solid understanding of software architecture. * Proficiency in OOP, MVC, and design patterns. * Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery, and JSON. * Experience with Bootstrap and/or YUI3\. * Consumption of SOAP and REST services. * Use of Liferay Developer Studio, Themes, and Layout Templates. * Proficiency in Git, Visual Studio Code, Jira, and Confluence. * Knowledge of WebLogic, Apache, and Liferay Portal. * Experience with UML. * Intermediate to advanced English. Desirable Skills * Experience with React. * Knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, and email marketing.
