Proactive network health monitoring and root cause analysis A leading Mexican technology solutions company is seeking to integrate a **Network Engineer (L1 and L2)** into its infrastructure team to manage and optimize critical Cisco-based network environments. **What profile are we looking for?** We seek professionals with strong analytical capabilities, results-oriented mindset, and solid knowledge of routing and switching protocols. **Main Responsibilities:** * Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for incidents related to routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless networks. * Proactively monitor network health using platforms such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Splunk. * Execute scheduled changes, updates, and preventive maintenance. * Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents. * Manage and track tickets in ITSM systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar). * Coordinate with service providers (ISPs) to resolve WAN link failures. **Hard Skills:** * **Advanced Knowledge:** Dynamic routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLANs, Trunking (802\.1Q), STP, and redundancy protocols (HSRP/VRRP). * **Security and WAN:** ACL management, QoS, NAT, and VPN technologies (IPSec/SSL). * **Certification:** CCNP Enterprise preferred, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge. * **Experience:** 3 to 5 years in Network Operations Centers (NOC), technical Help Desk, or infrastructure support. * **Foundational Knowledge:** OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, port configuration, and Layer 1–3 troubleshooting\. * **Certification:** **CCNA** (mandatory — either current certification or proven knowledge). **Soft Skills:** * Excellent technical communication (oral and written). * Problem-solving ability under pressure and strict adherence to SLAs. * Customer-service orientation and teamwork collaboration. * Consistent habit of maintaining technical documentation. **Requirements:** * **Minimum Education:** Higher education — Bachelor’s degree / Engineering in Systems, Telecommunications, or related field. * **Years of Experience:** 1 to 5 years (depending on level). * **Languages:** Technical English (ability to read and comprehend manuals). **Offer:** * Base salary: MXN 45,000–90,000 per month (gross) * Office hours * Work modality: Hybrid * 100% payroll scheme * Salary open to negotiation based on experience * Statutory benefits * Enhanced benefits (family SGMM, SV MXN 1 million, grocery vouchers, 30-day bonus, PTU)
