Drive engineering excellence and process optimization Mobile Engineering Lead (iOS / Android)Requirements: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * 8\+ years of experience in mobile development (Android \& iOS), with at least 3 years in technical management or team leadership roles within fintech, digital payments, or banking industries. * Strong expertise in native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective\-C) development, with a deep understanding of both platforms. * Deep knowledge of architectural patterns such as MVVM and a solid understanding of their design principles beyond practical implementation. * Strong understanding of the design principles behind popular open\-source components such as OkHttp, Lottie, Glide, and AFNetworking is highly valued. * Familiarity with financial regulations in Mexico (CNBV). * Knowledge of data security practices. * Mandatory: Native or fluent Spanish and English. * Preferred: Conversational Mandarin Chinese. * Ability to adapt to multicultural international environments and different time zones. * Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, strong self\-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and strong self\-awareness/self\-reflection skills. * Native Android (Kotlin/Java), iOS (Swift/Objective\-C), MVVM and modern mobile architectural patterns, CI/CD, automated testing, proactive monitoring \& alerting, memory management, app startup optimization, UI performance, familiarity with open\-source components such as OkHttp, Lottie, Glide, and AFNetworking. * Reports: Engineering performance metrics, mobile roadmap documentation, architecture guidelines, and quality assurance reports. ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership \& Management * Oversee the day\-to\-day management of Android and iOS teams, including task delegation, technical guidance, and mentorship. * Build and cultivate a positive, efficient, and high\-performing engineering team. Technical Planning \& Architecture * Lead the overall technical design and technology selection for mobile platforms. * Define and implement unified development standards and create a strategic roadmap for architectural evolution, ensuring scalability, stability, and a forward\-looking technology stack. Performance \& Quality Assurance * Lead initiatives to solve critical technical challenges, including performance optimization (app startup time, UI smoothness, memory management), stability improvements, and enhanced user experience. * Establish and improve a comprehensive quality assurance system. Engineering Excellence \& Process Optimization * Drive engineering efficiency and excellence within the team. * Explore and implement best practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and proactive monitoring/alerting. * Continuously optimize and evolve current development processes and collaboration models. * Integrate with operators and stakeholders to map processes and define success criteria. Work Schedule / Employment Scheme: * Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (time flexibility required). * Modality: Full\-time, payroll\-based, hybrid in Mexico City (3 onsite days per week).
