Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market. **Job Responsibilities:** * Plan resources based on projects discussed with management; submit weekly progress reports against the previously established activity plan. * Measure the efficiency of assigned resources by tracking resolution of open design issues. * Optimize assigned resources through engineering time-saving projects. * Manage design area suppliers, including resolving communication issues and ensuring supplier design quality. * Achieve 100% compliance with the quality management system and ensure 100% compliance by your team. * Motivate the team to achieve departmental engineering project goals. * Meet all project-defined delivery deadlines with zero design errors and zero Bill of Materials (BOM) errors. * Provide technical support to the assembly department and implement necessary engineering changes. * Track actual project hours against estimated quotation hours. * Support the quotation process when design-related operations apply. * Manage lessons learned from projects. * Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of lessons learned by updating the operating system. * Prepare and present the weekly activity plan for the design team to management. * Perform Mechanical Design Engineer duties as required by the company. * When managing suppliers, ensure suppliers meet quality standards and deliver error-free designs. * Other tasks assigned by the Mechanical Design Assistant Engineering Manager. * Risk Management per ISO 9001:2015 Clause 6.1. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
