Description
Performing administrative tasks and coordination related to frontline operations, which may include data entry, ramp activities, sorting, tracking, shipping, and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these responsibilities, the majority of time is dedicated to office-based activities.
**Job Overview:**
Under general supervision, performs the following activities:
* Maintains control over heavy export cargo.
* Supports sales, customs, and ramp operations in their pursuit of efficient movement and dispatch of hazardous goods, cargo, or other types of shipments.
* Identifies systemic and recurring service issues through investigation and escalates them to the appropriate person for resolution. Monitors shipments, investigates transit delays, and initiates actions to complete delivery; notifies customers regarding shipment status and actions taken to meet commitments in case of delays.
* Advises customers on required documentation and proper completion of procedures for their shipments. Assists with scheduling/reserving pickups.
* Acts as a liaison among sales, customers, brokers, shippers/consignees, origin station/ramp, regulatory agencies, FedEx companies, and others to ensure timely shipment delivery.
* Visits designated accounts to improve customer satisfaction and collaborates with sales to retain and generate additional revenue.
* Conducts audits of assigned international procedures to ensure correct execution.
* Assists customers in obtaining duty and tax estimates.
* Helps customers resolve billing issues and initiate credit/refund requests.
* Advises customers on service features for all FedEx Express international services. Advises and assists customers on using tools available via FedEx.com.
* Coordinates activities—including assignments—to ensure customer issues are resolved and required shipment documentation is completed.

**Minimum Requirements:**
**Minimum Education Level:**
* High school diploma/equivalent
* Proficiency in English (TOEIC score of 450).
**Minimum Experience:**
* Three (3) years of work experience providing direct customer service related to international transportation, freight transportation, hazardous goods, or brokerage services.
**Minimum Required Skills:**
* Knowledge of mainframe systems, PC systems, and web-based applications (e.g., COSMOS, KIAC, VISA, CHEERS, FAMIS, CAGE, AMBASSADOR, etc.) and PC software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
* Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrent training.
* Flexibility to work various shifts.
* Prior experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
* Fluency in English is preferred.
