Production incident resolution and evolutionary adjustments APPLICATIONS CONSULTANT 5 hours ago Description A Host Developer responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of mainframe applications, ensuring business-critical systems’ stability, efficiency, and operational continuity. Will participate in the full software development lifecycle, working with technologies such as COBOL, JCL, and related utilities, as well as production incident handling and resolution. Requirements * Proven experience in mainframe application development and maintenance. * Proficiency in COBOL programming. * Experience with batch processing and online applications. * Solid knowledge of CICS and JCL. * Proficiency in DB2 and SQL database management. * Experience with version control and release management using Changeman. * Proficiency in process management and monitoring using Control\-M. * Knowledge of IBM 390 / 370 platforms and the MVS operating system. * Experience with TSO tools and environments. * VSAM file handling expertise. * Ability to provide production support, resolve incidents, and implement evolutionary adjustments. * Agile methodology experience (e.g., Scrum) is desirable. * Experience in banking or financial environments using Altamira is desirable.
