Global Technician The Global Technician supports production and engineering areas by carrying out mechanical, electronic, electrical, and PLC programming modifications within process projects, including validation of new or existing equipment and upgrades to machinery and inspection systems – vision, as well as cost-saving projects (C2W)**Job Description** =================== **Responsibilities** * Ensure proper operation of current or new technology equipment by performing major maintenance (revamping), necessary technical adjustments, guaranteeing correct functioning of existing lines, ensuring continuity of the process while meeting quality, safety, and productivity requirements. * Install and validate new equipment or technologies, ensuring they meet required performance or purpose; key responsibilities include equipment but are not limited to (electrical, mechanical, electronic, programming, etc.), performing full follow-up from equipment receipt to productive commissioning. These follow-up activities will be conducted jointly with equipment manufacturers/suppliers. * Participate in design and project definition stages by editing and generating 2D and 3D drawings using design software (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) to ensure correct specification of mechanical parts for processes and guarantee proper product flow and optimal use of space designated for new equipment installation. * Collaborate in equipment validation processes to write, execute, and close validation protocols, and follow up on all activities related to operational qualification, performance qualification, and operational start-up to ensure process reliability. * Train operational staff, Production Technicians, and Technical Leaders on the operation and resolution of common issues with new technologies and automatic inspection systems through in-person machine operation demonstrations, thereby ensuring efficient and timely technical and mechanical support in each area. * Participate in identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing processes through the VSU methodology to enhance product and process quality, contribute to achieving OEE operational standards, and reduce costs. **Requirements:** * Preferred: Partially completed or completed engineering degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Control, Electromechanical Engineering, related to industry, or completed technical degrees related to the same fields. * Intermediate English (advanced desirable) * 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical installations, vision system installations, robots, PLC and HMI programming, supplier management. * Preferred experience in validation of new equipment or process updates * Project management experience preferred * At least 2 years of experience as a production technician *"BD values workplace equity without discrimination against any disability, class, ethnicity, age, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation".* Required Skills Optional Skills . **Primary Work Location** ========================= MEX Cuautitlan Izcalli**Additional Locations** ======================== **Work Shift** ==============
