**French Phonology and Phonetics** **Job Objective:** Analyze the theoretical and practical foundations of French phonetics and phonology to develop skills in perception, production, and phonetic correction that support clear and accurate oral communication in diverse contexts. **Responsibilities:** * Identify the main French vowel, consonant, and semivowel sounds and their articulatory and acoustic characteristics. * Recognize suprasegmental features (intonation, stress, rhythm) inherent to the French phonological system. * Compare phonetic and phonological differences between French and the student’s native language to anticipate pronunciation difficulties. * Apply phonetic correction techniques and oral practice exercises to improve spoken French production and comprehension. * Provide individual follow-up for each student. **Requirements:** * A completed bachelor’s degree with official diploma and professional license in languages, French languages, foreign languages, or a related field is mandatory. * **Valid language certification**: DELF, DALF B2 DIPLÔME D´ETUDES EN LANGUE FRANCAISE (DELF \- B2\), EFRAN, TFI, DIPLÔME D´ETUDES EN LANGUE FRANCAISE (DALF), French Evaluation Exam (TEF), Test de connaissance du français (TCF), UNAM Teacher Training Program, Polytechnic Institute Teacher Training Program. * A master’s degree with official diploma and professional license is desirable. * Minimum three years of teaching experience. * Familiarity with platforms such as Teams, Blackboard, or similar is desirable. **Competencies:** * Strong service orientation * Effective communication * Organizational skills * Ethics **Why Work at UVM?** We are Mexico’s largest private university, with 65 years of academic excellence, social commitment, and professional vision.
