Backend Developer

Description

The Java Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining backend applications and services using the Java programming language. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient system integration, compliance with functional and non-functional requirements, and delivery of robust, scalable, and secure solutions. The developer must ensure code quality, performance optimization, and proper integration with databases and external services. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and associated frameworks. * Participate in the analysis and definition of technical and functional requirements. * Implement and consume RESTful APIs for integration with other systems and services. * Optimize backend application performance and scalability. * Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software quality. * Document code and technical processes according to established standards. * Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure correct integration and deployment of solutions. * Research and propose continuous improvements to processes and technologies used. * Address incidents and provide technical support for production systems when required. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **More than 4 years of experience** * Backend development with Java 17, 21, and 25 * Backend development frameworks Spring Boot 3\.X and 4\.X. * Knowledge of designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services. * Database management (MongoDB, Redis, SQL, DB2\). * Enterprise integrations and microservices. * Service security * Management of certificates and keystores. * Knowledge of Passport, WAM, and Apigee * Deployments on Kubernetes / Anthos. * Log management, traceability, troubleshooting * Familiarity with SOLID principles and best development practices. **Desirable:** * Experience with batch processing / scheduler * GraphQL **Additional Information** Hybrid work arrangement (3 times per week at client offices) Are you looking for a place where your ideas shine?
