Analytical, organized profile with attention to detail **Position: General Accountant** **Location:** Monterrey, Nuevo León **Employment Type:** Full-time **Department:** Accounting / Finance **Work Modality:** On-site **Job Description** We are looking for a **General Accountant** to oversee the accounting operations of various companies within a group primarily dedicated to the **marketing of equipment and construction projects**. The role will be responsible for maintaining proper accounting and tax records across all companies, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, financial control, and generation of reliable information for decision-making. Group accounting is managed through the **Odoo** system; therefore, we seek a candidate with experience in accounting software or ERP systems and strong digital system proficiency. **Responsibilities** * Record and manage general accounting for all group companies. * Prepare monthly financial statements. * Perform bank reconciliations. * Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable. * Calculate and file monthly and annual taxes. * Maintain accounting control over inventories, costs, and projects. * Record invoicing, purchases, and expenses in **Odoo**. * Generate accounting and tax reports for regulatory authorities and legal compliance. * Monitor tax compliance for each company. * Prepare documentation for internal or external audits. * Coordinate with administrative and operational departments for financial control. **Requirements** ✅ Bachelor’s degree in **Public Accounting** (graduated or completing graduation). ✅ Minimum **3 to 5 years** of experience in general accounting. ✅ Experience in commercial enterprises or the construction sector. ✅ Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and tax filing procedures. ✅ Proficiency in accounting software; **experience with Odoo is highly desirable**. ✅ Strong Excel skills. ✅ Experience with inventory and project cost control (preferred). ✅ Analytical, organized profile with attention to detail. ✅ High sense of responsibility and confidentiality. **We Offer** A dynamic and continuously evolving work environment.
