**Position Objective** The Junior Design Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, modeling, and updating of structural designs for cradles, ensuring accuracy in measurements, specifications, and engineering technical requirements. Collaborates closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing, meeting quality, safety, and scheduled timelines. **Main Responsibilities** * **Design in SolidWorks:** creation of 3D models, structural and detailed drawings for metal components of cradles. * **Preparation of technical files:** generation of files ready for cutting, fabrication, and assembly (DXF, DWG, STEP). * **Design assistance:** support to the engineering team in interpreting and adjusting drawings according to project or client requirements. * **Updating drawings and databases:** control and recording of design versions, revised drawings, and technical documents. * **Verification of dimensions and components:** validation of dimensions, tolerances, and materials in models before sending to production. * **Technical collaboration:** constant communication with engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance to validate feasibility of fabrication and assembly. * **Prototype support:** participation in testing, adjustments, and validation of new model designs or modifications. * **Basic administrative tasks:** organization and management of design files, nomenclature, and backups. **Knowledge in:** · **Software:** SolidWorks (3D modeling and detailed drawings), AutoCAD (2D drawings). · **Metallic materials:** carbon steel, galvanized, and stainless steel. · **Manufacturing processes (desirable):** laser cutting, bending, welding, and painting. · Reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings. · Geometric tolerances (GD\&T). **Requirements** * Engineer or Technician in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic Design or related field. * Experience (desirable) of 1 year in mechanical design, metal structures, or manufacturing projects. * Desirable experience in metal-mechanical industry. ***WEEKLY NET PAYMENT $2,500*** Job type: Full time, Temporary or fixed-term contract Contract duration: 6 months Salary: $10,000.00 per month Work location: On-site job
