The position is designed to lead the US\-MX customs department of the plant. Plan, organize and coordinate all activities necessary to ensure compliance with the USA \& MX Regulations. Another primary activity is to support US\-MX customs compliance and customs responsibility for the FTZ While supporting other plant and company initiatives DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible on a daily basis for all activities of the Customs dept. Responsible for the accuracy of customs import/export databases. Responsible for the accuracy of annual Cost submission report for U.S. Customs. 4. Support and review annual declaration for MX customs. Responsible for obtaining and updating necessary importation\-exportation permits as required. Prepare special customs reports as required by corporate customs specialists. Comply with all FTZ and customs requirements/regulations against CBP \& other government departments. 8. Responsible for monthly and annual FTZ reports. 9. Act as the BD Nog AZ site representative during CBP audits and other authorities. 10. Review current status of FTZ admissions and permits to maintain FTZ operations. Responsible for transportation, company truck and drivers pool. Ensure documentation is submitted accurately and on time to customs department for crossing of materials. Ensure compliance with all regulations and requirements with all of the different government entities applicable to the import/export process of materials and machinery for BD Nogales. **Ensure compliance with all applicable Regulations and Standards as defined in BD Quality, Safety** **and Environmental** **Manual and enterprise LT. systems** EDUCATION: * High School Degree or equivalence in years of schooling/experience in the customs\-brokerage field, Importation\-Exportation compliance and/or Warehouse Control. * Bilingual (English / Spanish) * Understanding of manufacturing work flow and costing processes EXPERIENCE: * Supervisory Experience (5 to 10 years) * Project leadership skills. * Experience in maquiladora environment preferably in the medical or pharmaceutical industry * Experience/knowledge in maquiladora customs programs KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: * PC skills (strong excel skills) * Interpersonal and communications skills. * Desire to learn and grow. * SAP knowledge Required Skills Optional Skills . **Primary Work Location** ========================= MEX Nogales North \- Luis Donaldo Colosio Blvd**Additional Locations** ======================== **Work Shift** ==============
