In this role, you will be responsible for recording and verifying revenue transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting within a shared services environment. Team members will support hotel accounting departments as experts in revenue recognition, journal entry processing, and account reconciliation. Your key responsibilities will include: * Revenue Recording: Accurately record daily revenue transactions in the general ledger, ensuring all revenue is properly classified and accounted for. * Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. * Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile revenue-related accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting. * Month-End/Year-End Close: Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all revenue transactions are timely recorded and reconciled. * Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing revenue-related reports, including revenue analysis and variance reports, for management review. * Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes, ensuring adherence to internal controls and external regulations. * Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency of revenue journal processes within the shared services environment. * Collaboration: Work closely with other finance teams, such as General Accounting and Accounts Receivable, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Your Profile: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Prior experience in general accounting or a similar role. * Shared Services operations knowledge is desirable. * Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. * Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. * Oracle experience is a plus.
