Drive cross\-functional accountability within project teams to ensure achievement of project goals. Serve as a cross\-functional team leader, supporting all internal departments including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers to ensure a flawless program launch. Effectively lead global project teams to promote productive collaboration and deliver positive results for Autoliv. Manage project budgets and financial performance, including engineering income, ECAN budgets, and EBIT uplift activities, while ensuring adherence to schedule and deliverables. Oversee direct communication and coordination with Autoliv project members and manufacturing facilities in Mexico. Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding all project‑related topics. Conduct project and technical meetings in **Japanese** with customers and global teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and efficient issue resolution. Support Business Unit and product line strategies by leveraging technology, methodologies, and best practices to strengthen product performance and differentiation. Coordinate project execution in alignment with the Autoliv AS7 Change Management Standard to meet all internal and customer milestones. Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project timelines using PWA/Open Project. Provide support to customer engineering and manufacturing plants as needed. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and thrive in a demanding, fast‑paced work environment What is required: Minimum **5–6 years of experience** in similar roles. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial, or related). Robust engineering, project management, and automotive launch experience. Experience in **commodities** and previous **automotive industry** experience. Strong problem‑solving skills, negotiation abilities, and disciplined, organized work approach. Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and foster strong cross‑functional teamwork within global teams. Strong **financial acumen** related to project financials.**Advanced English (B2\+)** and **conversational Japanese**, with experience interfacing with Asian customers. Customer care mindset: experience with **Asian customers** required. Experience using **Microsoft Project**; customer portals knowledge is a plus.
