**Position Overview:** The Production Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly and/or machine operations within the manufacturing facility in Mexico. This role involves leading and supervising a team of workers, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. **Responsibilities:** * ### **Team Leadership and Supervision:** * Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of assembly workers and/or machine operators to achieve production targets and quality standards. * Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operation. * ### **Production Planning and Coordination:** * Coordinate with production planning and scheduling teams to ensure timely execution of production orders. * Allocate resources, including manpower and equipment, to meet production requirements. * Monitor production progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed. * ### **Quality Assurance and Compliance:** * Enforce quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations. * Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality and safety concerns. * ### **Process Improvement and Optimization:** * Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to implement best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives. * ### **Health and Safety:** * Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations. * Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and accident investigations as needed. * Provide safety training and promote awareness of safety protocols and practices among assembly team members. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred. * Proven experience in manufacturing assembly operations, with at least 2\-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier. * **Strong leadership**, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of assembly processes, quality control methods, and safety regulations. * Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems. * **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)**
