People like you! **Process Development Engineer Welding** ======================================== Job Req ID: 136053 Location: San Luis Potosi, MX, 78423 **Objective of the position** The objective of the position is to further develop, industrialize, and sustainably stabilize production\-related process technologies for plastic welding processes. The role acts as a technical expert and production\-oriented process owner, ensuring robust, capable, and standardized manufacturing processes throughout development, acquisition, industrialization, and series production, while supporting the company’s strategic, quality, cost, and performance targets. **Principal Activities:** * Adaptation of development and production topics in process development for plastic welding technologies according to SEP guidelines. * Creation and further development of documentation (e.g., process data acquisition, mind map, validation plan, continuous data recording during the development phase). * Responsibility in process development for plastic welding with main tasks (e.g., guiding component design for design-to-process, risk analysis, feasibility studies, defining process requirements, process validation, supporting tooling development with process input, defining process, parameter setup for new lamination technologies, evaluating ECRs for approval/disapproval, participating at expert level in DFMEA and PFMEA, etc.). * Act as internal and external contact person within his/her own area of expertise; cooperate in global working groups (Germany, Romania, China, Americas). * Create internal publications (e.g., documentation, etc.) and present as required (internally). * Recognize general need for continuing education in his/her own field within the company; plan and conduct internal and external training on complex topics, both domestically and in other countries. * Support in determining and optimizing internal standards and processes within his/her own area of expertise. * Observe/identify trends in his/her area of expertise in order to develop concepts; suggest recommendations for action. * Conduct mainly conceptual activities within his/her area of expertise (e.g., during acquisition and early project phase). * Develop product and process specifications as test and validation procedures for different processes or linked individual processes (e.g., provide technical input for requirement manuals, create test and validation plans, support and guide trial runs, etc.). * Suggest product or process changes in order to increase system performance and/or better implement customer wishes. * Develop process standards and equipment to achieve desired results, and interpret the results (e.g., using statistical analysis and methods, etc.). * Drive maturity increase activities for plastic welding for projects in the North America region **Requirements:** Professional career: * Industrial Engineer or related Relevant experience: * Plastic welding Technical knowledge: * IATF 16949 standard * ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 * Product integrity * Specific customer requirements * Statistical tools * Troubleshooting tools * Risk analysis Languages: * English Advanced Level **Continue with your professional development and apply now!**
