"Involves performing administrative and frontline operational coordination tasks, which may include data entry, ramp activities, sorting activities, tracking activities, clearance activities, and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these roles, the majority of time is spent on office-based activities. Leadership or senior-level positions may include: * Handling escalated or more complex situations, * Coordinating team activities or those involving contracted agency personnel, * Supporting supervisory or managerial activities, * Supporting the design, review, and implementation of processes and procedures." **Position Overview:** Perform the following activities under limited supervision: * Perform an advanced level of processing, coordination, and obtain approval for customs releases for import/export and cross-border shipments of documents, packages, and cargo (baggage or air freight). * Prepare required customs forms to facilitate timely, efficient, and effective import, export, and transshipment procedures for air arrivals/departures. E.g., master air waybills, cargo manifests, general declarations, invoices, and other related documentation. * Prepare forms detailing tariffs, rates, costs, and customs duties/V.A.T. to enable timely cost recovery. * Prepare international manifests to ensure responsive and efficient customs clearance. * Ensure full compliance of the station with the country’s customs and tax laws, and alignment with FedEx policies, procedures, practices, and rules. * Interact with customs officials and coordinate customs activities with internal operations staff. * Contact customers for additional information and inform them of applicable taxes and duties. * Maintain all customs documentation properly organized and correctly filed. * Perform sorting, support baggage handling at airports and stations, and retrieve air cargo from suppliers if required. * Maintain copies of excess air waybills to ensure adjustments. * May be required to perform other assigned activities. **Minimum Requirements:** Minimum Education: * High school diploma or equivalent. * TOEIC score of 450 points. **Minimum Experience:** * Four (4) years of experience with international cargo customs policies, procedures, rules, and laws, or 18 months of experience as a Customs Agent. * Knowledge of airport and customs procedures preferred. **Minimum Required Skills:** * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Valid driver’s license. * General office skills and computer knowledge. * CRT experience preferred. * Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver any package weighing over 150 pounds—or the weight limit required by labor regulations—using appropriate equipment.
