Laundry Supervisor

Description

**Supervises:** Laundry Assistant, Valet Presser, Mangle Operator, Washers, Sorters, Linen Room Assistant. * **Responsibilities:** Supervises, trains, and monitors the work of laundry staff to ensure strict adherence to procedures and quality standards for stain removal, washing, and ironing of all linens, uniforms, and sorting areas. * Reviews linen logs and daily wash weight summaries. * Monitors the quality of washing for all linens processed on property. * Ensures that staff under supervision comply with hotel-established policies and procedures regarding discipline, personal appearance and hygiene, working hours, designated traffic areas, and safety regulations. * Verifies that staff under supervision have the necessary equipment to perform their duties and use it properly. * Ensures that appropriate chemical products are used in each washing process. Jointly responsible with the Laundry Manager for reporting any anomalies and/or equipment malfunctions in the work area to ensure immediate follow-up and tracks resolution until the work is satisfactorily completed. * Actively participates in linen inventory. * Supervises the effective and efficient performance of staff under supervision to ensure compliance with hotel linen cleaning procedures and standards. * Receives instructions from the Housekeeping Manager and Laundry Manager regarding specific tasks for staff under supervision. Maintains records of overtime worked by staff under supervision. * Ensures guest ironing requests communicated to them are completed as soon as possible and efficiently. * Directly trains and assists staff under supervision during work shifts to improve their skills and maintain established quality standards. Trains staff on their duties as well as on equipment usage, cleaning, and maintenance, and verifies equipment functionality and maintenance. * At the end of each shift, receives key situation reports from staff under supervision and records them in the logbook for shift handover. * Executes all instructions and assignments given by the immediate supervisor, as well as all responsibilities inherent to the position. \#imvwro Marriott Vacations Worldwide is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
