Position Summary: Safely, punctually, and at optimal temperature conditions transport frozen berries, ensuring product integrity and cold chain continuity. Key Responsibilities: 1. Driving refrigerated units for berry delivery and pickup 2. Hygienic and safe handling of frozen product 3. Maintaining the unit clean and in sanitary condition * **Position:** Delivery Driver / Operating Driver * **Department:** Logistics / Distribution * **Reports to:** Logistics Coordinator / Operations Manager * **Business Focus:** Marketing of frozen berries * **Vehicle Type:** Refrigerated truck (rigid, semi-trailer, or 3.5-ton, as applicable) **Position Objective** To perform the **safe, punctual, and temperature-optimized transportation** of frozen berries, ensuring **product integrity, cold chain continuity, and compliance with quality, food safety, and security requirements**, from origin point to customer. **Main Responsibilities** * Operate refrigerated units for **delivery and/or pickup** of frozen berries. * Verify proper functioning of the **refrigeration equipment** before and during transit. * Maintain **established temperatures** for frozen product. * Conduct pre-trip **unit inspection checklist** (mechanical, cleanliness, temperature). * Load and unload product following instructions for **hygienic and safe handling**. * Verify that product has correct **documentation, labeling, and seals**. * Maintain constant communication with the logistics department. * Report temperature deviations, delays, incidents, or product damage. * Adhere to assigned routes and schedules. * Keep the unit **clean, organized, and in appropriate sanitary condition**. * Comply with traffic regulations and company internal policies. * Support deliveries, pickups, or internal transfers as required. **Position Requirements** **Education:** * Completed junior high school (minimum). **Experience:** * Minimum **1–2 years** as a delivery driver or vehicle operator (refrigerated units preferred). **License:** * Valid driver’s license (**Class B, C, or federal**, depending on vehicle type). **Desirable Knowledge:** * Operation of refrigerated units and temperature control. * Local and long-distance routes (as applicable). * Completion of logbooks and delivery documentation. * Basic mechanical knowledge (desirable). **Skills and Competencies** * Responsibility and honesty * Punctuality * Attention to detail * Safe driving and vehicle handling * Service-oriented attitude * Ability to work under pressure **Position Conditions** * Operational and field-based work. * Flexible schedule and availability for local/long-distance travel (as required by operations). * Exposure to low temperatures. * Competitive salary based on experience. * Statutory benefits.
