General Purpose of the Position · Execute and supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of ERP entries, supporting the determination of tax obligations, and coordinating auxiliary staff activities. Responsible for timely, accurate, and materially error-free financial closings, serving as the technical liaison between the Closing Manager and operational departments. · Position Profile · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, certified with professional license. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in corporate accounting, including experience in month-end closings, reconciliations, tax calculations, and supervision of operational staff. Key Competencies: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, deadline orientation, supervisory capability, and ability to communicate technical accounting concepts to non-accounting departments. Technical Knowledge: Financial Information Standards (NIF), Income Tax Law (ISR), Value Added Tax Law (IVA), Digital Fiscal Receipts (CFDI), DIOT, SAT Electronic Accounting, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or equivalent enterprise-level system such as SAP or Dynamics). · Key Responsibilities · Review and validate accounting entries prepared by assistants for revenues, expenses, payroll, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations. Supervise correct journal entry application in Oracle Fusion, identifying errors and ensuring timely correction. Execute monthly financial closing activities: verification of journal entries, accruals, depreciation, amortization, and period-end adjustments. Review reconciliations between book balances and bank statements, credit card reports, and Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) reports. Record and reconcile fixed assets (acquisitions, disposals, transfers, depreciation) and liabilities (loans, intercompany credits, creditors). Collaborate with the Closing Manager on tax determination: calculation of VAT (IVA), income tax (ISR), withholdings, and provisional payments. Supervise reconciliation of received and issued CFDIs against SAT records, identifying and correcting discrepancies. Prepare anti-money laundering working papers and quarterly estimated annual ISR documentation. Compile data for informative declarations (DIOT, annual tax return) and electronic accounting submissions. Assemble documentation required by tax authorities and support procedures before the SAT. Assist external auditors: prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and responses to findings. Serve as first-level technical accounting support for operational departments (A/R, A/P, Treasury, Procurement) using Oracle Fusion. Participate in Oracle Fusion implementation: test accounting workflows and develop required closing reports. Support periodic and annual inventory counts, reconciling variances with accounting records. Assign, distribute, and supervise daily tasks of accounting assistants; train them on accounting processes and ERP usage. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and aging analyses for manager review. Generate trial balances and nature-of-account analyses for the closing process. Document departmental operating procedures for standardization and onboarding of new team members. Requirements Prior experience in the role of Accounting Analyst. Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
