Job Summary: We are seeking a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician for the construction, installation, and repair of fiber optic networks, interpreting diagrams and using specialized tools. Interpretation of network diagrams **SSITEL is looking for a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician in Guelatao \- Iztapalapa, Mexico City** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Fiber Optic Splicing Technician required:** **Knowledge:** * Client-specific regulations for construction. * Regulations for working at heights. * Road safety. * Diagram interpretation. * Use of fusion splicers and cleavers. * Operation of standard and automatic vehicles. * Use of longitudinal tracer. **Main Responsibilities:** * Conduct field surveys and interpret diagrams to properly plan material requirements. * Request required materials from the Site Supervisor for project execution. * Installation of closures (splices and branch connections). * Performing tests (OTDR, longitudinal tracer, optical power meter, and light source). * Capturing photographic evidence of project progress via APK and dissemination channels. * Preparing daily progress reports and submitting them to the Site Supervisor. * Executing fiber optic network construction. * Inspecting and identifying issues or damage affecting client network functionality through physical and optical inspections. * Repairing fiber optic cables. * Verifying network routing and proper installation. * Planning daily work according to team productivity. * Performing all activities in compliance with occupational health and safety, road safety, and client-specific regulations. * Cleaning the worksite and client network. **WE OFFER:** * **Weekly salary of $3,200** * **Social Security.** **WORK LOCATION:** * Fieldwork, extended hours, and travel. * Phone or WhatsApp\* , Human Resources. **Required Education Level:** Basic **Required Experience Level:** Intermediate **Departmental Function:** Construction **Industry:** Telecommunications **Skills:** * Tolerance * Teamwork * Relevant experience *This job posting originates from the Talenteca.com job board:* *https://www.talenteca.com/anuncio?j\_id\=6a0b65cf390000380070ffd2\&source\=indeed*
