**Job Profile: Skilled Carpenter**
**Department:** Production – Carpentry
**Reports to:** Carpentry Supervisor / Production Manager
**Level:** Specialized Operational
**Job Objective**
To manufacture, assemble, and finish wooden furniture or components according to drawings and technical specifications, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety at every production process within the assembly line.
**Main Responsibilities**
* Interpret drawings, measurements, and technical specifications for parts or furniture.
* Perform cutting, assembly, planing, and finishing of parts in series.
* Operate carpentry machinery (circular saw, planer, router, square-cutting machine, press, etc.).
* Apply varnishes, lacquers, sealers, dyes, and solvents according to wood type or required finish.
* Install and cover surfaces with **formica**, melamine, veneers, or decorative laminates.
* Prepare and adjust paint, varnish, and solvent mixtures for fine finishes.
* Inspect dimensional and aesthetic quality of finished parts.
* Participate in preventive maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
* Comply with **industrial safety and hygiene standards**, use of PPE, and quality policies.
* Support optimization of cycle times and continuous improvement in line processes.
**Required Technical Knowledge**
* Mass-production carpentry (furniture assembly line).
* Assembly methods and joints (dowels, screws, pegs, cold glues, etc.).
* Finishing: varnish, lacquer, paint, dyes, solvents, sealers.
* Laminates and surface coverings: **formica, melamine, veneering.**
* Reading technical drawings and using measuring instruments (tape measure, square, basic vernier caliper).
* Safe operation of electric and pneumatic machinery.
**Required Experience**
* **Minimum 3 years** in production carpentry or mass furniture manufacturing.
* Proven experience in **assembly, varnishing, wood painting, formica application, dyes, and solvents.**
**Working Conditions**
* Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
* Base weekly salary: $3,500, tax-free
* Punctuality and attendance bonus: $125 per week
* Productivity bonus: $360
