Job Summary: Operate, adjust, and provide technical support for plastic injection molding machines to ensure continuous production of automotive parts. Key Highlights: 1. Operation and adjustment of plastic injection molding machines. 2. Detection and correction of minor process faults. 3. Support for process improvements and scrap reduction. Plastic Injection Molding Technician Job Objective Operate, adjust, and provide technical support for plastic injection molding machines to ensure continuous production of automotive parts in accordance with established quality, safety, and efficiency parameters. Main Responsibilities * Start up, operate, and adjust injection molding machines (basic set-up / mold changes as applicable). * Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle times). * Detect and correct minor process or equipment faults. * Verify quality of molded parts (dimensional, visual). * Perform purging, screw cleaning, and mold cleaning. * Support material changeovers and production start-ups. * Record process parameters, scrap, and downtime. * Coordinate with Maintenance for major faults. * Comply with safety, quality, and IATF procedures. * Maintain area order and cleanliness (6S). * Support process improvements and scrap reduction. Education * Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, or related field *(Technical high school diploma with verifiable experience may be accepted)* Experience * 1–3 years operating plastic injection molding machines (automotive industry preferred). * Experience in start-ups, process adjustments, and basic quality control. Technical Knowledge * Injection molding machines (Arburg, Engel, Haitian, Sumitomo, or similar). * Process parameters (pressure, temperature, timing). * Plastic materials (PP, ABS, PC, Nylon, etc.). * Basic blueprint / process sheet reading. * Use of measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer – desirable). * Industrial safety. * Desirable: OEE, scrap, 6S, Lean concepts.
