Job Summary: We are seeking a General Maintenance Technician for our facility. This position will be responsible for understanding job responsibilities and supporting manufacturing operations and facility installation through competent execution of general maintenance activities. Responsibilities and Requirements: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Complete all safety training on time and follow all safety policies and procedures. Use knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Ensure all drums and discharge containers are properly labeled. Perform daily inspection of chip hoppers at each machine and empty them into the appropriate recycling container (brass, aluminum, steel) as needed. Manage and remove all cardboard, trash, and boxes from the machine shop floor daily. Regularly inspect all oil-soaked drums and absorbents throughout the machine shop and dispose of them as needed. Exchange paint booth drums as needed; label and store them appropriately in the Hazardous Materials Building. Separate corrugated waste from general trash for proper disposal and operate the cardboard compactor safely; manage cardboard stems by storing them neatly in the storage yard. Manage storage of non-hazardous wastewater and schedule its removal. Maintain oil storage and monitor oil inventory levels. Maintain recyclable items such as plastic, paper, and aluminum. Maintain the Hazardous Materials Building. Organize and store all drums and containers in designated areas. Manage used oil drums and trailers. Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness and organization of the building. Maintain scrap pallets and boxes by storing them neatly and labeling them for disposal in the storage yard. Keep the storage yard clean and organized at all times. Maintain compaction areas in a clean and organized state. Perform other non-technical facility maintenance tasks, such as painting and cleaning, as assigned by the supervisor. Must maintain a safety-first mindset; follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times. Immediately report all safety observations, near misses, or other potential safety hazards. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience and Skills: Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Solid basic math, computer, and reasoning skills. Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools. Knowledge of safe and proper cleaning procedures. A results-oriented, self-disciplined team player who takes pride in quality and achievement. Must demonstrate ethical behavior, integrity, and respect for others. Must exhibit conscientiousness, willingness to act, and reliability to complete all tasks on time with minimal supervision. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to keep supervisors, team members, or other departments informed about issues. High school diploma / GED and/or 0\-2 years of relevant experience.
