Teamwork and attention to detail **Job Description** ------------------- * **Position:** Linen Stocker * **Department:** Housekeeping * **Reports To:** Laundry Supervisor * **Position Type:** Operational **Position Objective** Ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient supply of linens (sheets, towels, pillowcases, table linens, etc.) to various hotel departments, ensuring proper distribution, handling, control, and transportation in compliance with established quality and hygiene standards. **Primary Responsibilities** * Stock clean linens to different floors, operational areas, and departments throughout the hotel. * Collect soiled linens and transport them to the laundry or designated area. * Organize, sort, and store linens in the linen room following established standards. * Inspect linens’ condition and report damages, losses, or shortages. * Maintain basic inventory records (linen inflows and outflows). * Support proper linen rotation to extend their useful life. * Maintain order and cleanliness in the linen room. * Ensure linen transport carts are in good working condition and clean. * Comply with the hotel’s hygiene, safety, and quality procedures. * Respond to urgent linen requests from supervisors or operational departments. **Specific Responsibilities** * Operate transport carts for moving linens within the hotel. * Drive safely inside the facility when required. * Adhere to assigned delivery routes and scheduled stocking times. * Record entries in logbooks or control forms where applicable. **Position Requirements** **Education** * Completed junior high school (minimum). **Experience** * Hotel, laundry, or linen-handling experience preferred. **Knowledge** * Basic inventory management. * Linen and textile classification. * Cleaning and hygiene procedures. **Skills** * Organization * Teamwork * Attention to detail * Responsibility * Service-oriented attitude * Time management **Special Requirements** * **Valid driver’s license (mandatory)**, due to operating linen transport carts within the facility. * Flexible availability (rotating shifts). * Physical capability to perform manual labor (lifting and moving linens). **Working Conditions** * Indoor and outdoor work within the hotel premises. * Constant physical activity (lifting, transporting, and arranging linens). * Uniform and personal protective equipment required where applicable.
