**Housekeeping Assistant** UVM is seeking personnel for the cleaning department **Job Objective:** To carry out operational cleaning activities across all physical areas of the campus (interior spaces and peripheral areas), ensuring clean, accessible, functional, and presentable environments so that the entire UVM community enjoys a dignified and well-maintained campus. Perform cleaning activities on furniture, equipment, and any other areas as required within the campus. **Functions and Responsibilities:** * Carry out assigned daily and deep cleaning routines across all campus spaces and furniture * Clean exterior areas when required (sidewalks, stairs, etc.) located in the periphery * Respond to unscheduled cleaning requests from the campus * Support campus events (cleaning, waste removal) * Perform cleaning in accordance with sanitation protocols (where applicable) * Complete cleaning logs to ensure activity tracking and documentation of execution * Inspect and replenish sanitary supplies in restrooms * Proactively place signage to prevent accidents in areas undergoing cleaning * Clean diverse large-scale areas (offices, common areas, classrooms, restrooms, etc.) * Physically demanding work requiring caution, attention to detail, proper use of equipment, vigilance, and strict adherence to procedures, protocols, and assigned tasks * Zero accidents * Timely and consistent execution of general cleaning in areas heavily used by students, faculty, and administrative staff throughout the workday **Requirements:** Basic education 0–1 years of experience Basic knowledge of cleaning products Experience operating floor polishers and vacuum cleaners (desirable but not mandatory) **Competencies:** Service-oriented attitude Customer focus Teamwork Sense of urgency **Why Work at UVM?** We are Mexico’s largest private university, with 60 years of academic excellence, social commitment, and professional vision.
