**Job Description** ------------------------- Ensure daily vehicle availability (vehicles operated by carriers previously contracted by the Local Transportation Coordinator) and guarantee fulfillment of deliveries carried out by the fleet under administration **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Ensure the necessary fleet is available to meet the daily loading schedule prepared by the Logistics and Service Administrator. * Ensure each vehicle complies with the loading schedule to guarantee customer service fulfillment. * Develop technical specifications and review transportation plans for routes, capturing their physical characteristics (distances and logistical efforts) and required timeframes for each stage along the supply chain through route planning. * Identify and eliminate transportation route constraints to reduce transit time and increase the number of daily trips per unit. * Certify defined routes in the current technical specification via route planning to ensure optimal driving conditions, route efficiency, and absence of constraints, and define target VDU values. **Job Challenges** -------------------- * Reassign vehicles to the loading schedule due to vehicle non-compliance. * Monitor all vehicles under administration. * Persuade freight companies and/or tractor-trailer operators to comply with their assignments according to the loading schedule. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: * Bachelor’s Degree or Engineering-related field * Drive to achieve results * Process management (N/D) Required Experience: * Monitoring of finished product deliveries * Knowledge of land logistics * Supervision of operational staff (desirable: supervision of tractor-trailer operators or prior interaction with tractor-trailer operators) Required Knowledge: * Intermediate Excel * Intermediate PowerPoint Critical Competencies: * Customer focus * Results orientation * Responsiveness * Integrity and trust * Problem solving * Information management * Alliance development * Drive / Proactivity **Relationships** -------------- Internal: * Service and Dispatch Advisor * Local Transportation Coordinator * Instructors, for support and consultation regarding driving tests and fault detection. * Tractor-trailer Operator * CEDI Manager External: * Municipal authorities * AUT Union **Diversity and Inclusion at CEMEX** ----------------------------------- At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and conduct business.
