Responsible for supporting the accounting team in executing key operational activities, including preparation of reconciliations, journal entries, monthly close support, document control, and preparation of working papers. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare basic and intermediate balance sheet reconciliations (banks, accounts payable, accounts receivable, advances, expenses, taxes payable). * Record journal entries in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines. * Support preparation of the monthly close, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and delivered on time. * Maintain up-to-date documentation required for audit and corporate purposes. * Execute assigned controls (reconciliations, review of supporting documents, basic validations, evidence of approvals). * Ensure proper documentation of working papers, evidence, and templates per SOX standards. * Report discrepancies, errors, or findings to the Senior Analyst for review and follow-up. * Support AR processes: preparing reconciliations, uploading invoices to customer portals, reviewing payments, supporting credit memos, and performing basic aging analysis. * Support AP processes: validating supporting documents, receiving invoices, supporting three-way matching, and scheduling payments. * Prepare information for Treasury regarding cash flows, payment status, or collections. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * 1–3 years of experience in general accounting, auditing, or similar administrative/financial roles. * Basic knowledge of US GAAP and MX GAAP (prior exposure preferred). * Experience with accounting closings, reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis. * ERP experience (Oracle/SAP preferred). * Intermediate Excel skills (basic pivot tables, formulas, filters, simple analysis). * Basic–intermediate English (ability to read financial documents and communicate via email). * Preferred: prior external audit experience or exposure to Big4 methodologies as a plus. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines. **GXO Logistics** is an equal opportunity employer for candidates seeking to join our team.
