Job Summary: This laboratory technician role supports faculty and students in resource management, practical session preparation, and clinical laboratory equipment maintenance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Resource management and support for nursing practice. 2. Operation of laboratory equipment and instruments, and area-specific procedures. 3. Glassware maintenance and preventive maintenance program design. ***CLINICAL AREAS LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (NURSING)*** **OBJECTIVE** Manage the laboratory’s material resources, providing faculty support for conducting practical sessions and group supervision. **EDUCATION REQUIREMENT** Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Simulation in Nursing Education, Simulation Centers, skill laboratories using simulators) or related field. **WORK EXPERIENCE** One year in a similar position. **JOB-SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:** Operation of laboratory equipment and instruments; knowledge and application of area-specific procedures and forms. **REPORTS TO:** Academic Coordinator of respective academic programs. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** 1\. Provide support services for practical session preparation for faculty and students. 2\. Maintain records of practical sessions and laboratory work performed. 3\. Provide, upon prior authorization, required substances and utensils for corresponding practical sessions. 4\. Perform maintenance on all glassware and equipment used in the laboratory after each practical session. 5\. Monitor proper use and functioning of laboratory materials and equipment. 6\. Store and safeguard laboratory chemicals according to their hazard classification. 7\. Prepare requisitions necessary for laboratory operations. 8\. Suggest improvements to the department head that, in the technician’s judgment, enhance laboratory operations. 9\. Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, consistent with those listed above. 10\. Inform users of the laboratory’s internal regulations for proper usage. 11\.
