John Crane is part of Smiths Group (www.smiths.com), a global leader in applying advanced technologies to markets in threat and contraband detection, energy, medical devices, communications, and engineered components. **Job Description** Ensure compliance with organizational and customer-established specifications and parameters by inspecting and dispositioning raw materials, subcontracted components, parts, and supplies — up to finished products — received at John Crane Mexico for sale and assembly of our products. To achieve customer satisfaction and maintain our quality, safety, and environmental management systems. * Verify that manufactured and in-plant assembled parts, as well as delivered materials, components, and subcontracted items, comply with specifications outlined in drawings and global and local standards. * Perform SAP transactions according to validation results. * Identify material inspection statuses and safeguard materials requiring disposition. * Conduct audits of manufacturing and assembly processes based on the control plan and product or process criticality. * Provide feedback to operators and supervisors regarding product or process failures observed during working hours, and identify safety or environmental hazards. * Reinforce good practices related to measurement, proper use, and maintenance of measuring equipment. **Requirements** * Industrial Technician, recent graduate or current Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering student. * Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard (desirable) * Demonstrated experience using basic measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, etc.). * Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). * Knowledge and experience using ERP “SAP”. * Knowledge of statistical process control. * Ability to interpret standards (ASTM, NACE, ASME, etc.). * Knowledge and interpretation of engineering drawings (GD&T, geometric tolerances). * Familiarity with machining and/or general assembly processes. * Desired knowledge and experience with PMI, Faro Gage, and surface roughness testers. * Desired familiarity with quality tools (Ishikawa, Pareto, 8D, etc.). * Desired familiarity with Core Tools (PFMEA, ISIR, MSA). * Basic understanding of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. **Additional Information** In accordance with our mission, vision, and Global Policies: Under no circumstances will any fee or other hiring-related cost be charged to personnel for employment with Smiths, either directly or indirectly.
