**Deputy Procurement Manager \| Distributor (Consumer Goods / Retail)** **Job Description:** An importer and distributor of consumer goods is seeking a **Procurement Leader** with a strategic mindset and strong execution capability to lead the procurement of key materials within a dynamic operation focused on the retail channel. The role requires a candidate with solid experience in high-operational-demand environments, with emphasis on planning (MRP), inventory control, and agile response to commercial demand. **Position Context (Critical for Success):** * Company focused on **importing and distributing products (not services)** * Industry: **food / fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)** * Primary channel: **retail (Walmart, Chedraui, Soriana, among others)** * Operation characterized by **high commercial pressure and daily execution** * Strong focus on **procurement planning (MRP)** **Required Profile:** We seek a highly analytical, structured, and results-oriented professional with proven experience where at least 90% of their procurement portfolio focuses on: * Plastics * Corrugated materials * Packaging materials * Overwrapping * Packaging * Materials related to consumer goods operations **Essential Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in economics, administration, engineering, or related field * 5+ years of specialized procurement experience (preferably in consumer goods or retail) * Mastery of the end-to-end procurement process * Experience in distribution or import companies * Solid experience in packaging materials (mandatory) * Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel * Strong knowledge of MRP and demand planning * Management and tracking of procurement KPIs * High negotiation capability and supplier development skills * Focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency **Responsibilities:** * Lead procurement strategy aligned with retail channel demand * Ensure operational continuity through efficient planning (MRP) * Negotiate with and develop strategic national and international suppliers * Control costs, inventories, and service levels * Monitor and continuously improve departmental performance indicators * Coordinate with commercial, logistics, and operations teams to guarantee supply **Only candidates meeting at least 90% of the profile will be considered.** Employment type: Full-time, indefinite term Salary: $25,000.00 \- $27,000.00 per month Benefits: * Food vouchers Work location: On-site employment
