Development of procurement policies and processes for business improvement Administrative Procurement 2 days ago 4 Years of Experience ### **Job Description** At Totum Talent, we are currently seeking talent for the position of Procurement Agent for a company dedicated to the processing, packaging, and distribution of high-quality meat products for the food industry. **Objective:** Support the oversight of supplier relationships by serving as the primary contact between the protein supplier and the company, ensuring that products required for sales and production are available in the warehouse on the scheduled date—specifically beef. **Responsibilities:** * Procurement of meat products: beef, chicken, poultry, fish, and seafood. * Identify, screen, and develop potential supplier sources that are cost-effective for the company. * Monitor and forecast price fluctuations and supplier pricing for key products, and update relevant departments accordingly. * Review existing contracts in preparation for future negotiations. * Secure competitive negotiated pricing relative to USDA benchmarks. * Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve profitability. * Create and review opportunities to implement best-practice procurement policies, processes, and procedures to enhance business performance. * Ensure proper documentation of products and suppliers. * Ensure procurement policies and guidelines remain current and update them as necessary. * Lead and participate in other projects and activities as directed by management. * Ensure the Corporate Purpose and Values are consistently upheld. ### **Requirements** * Advanced English proficiency is mandatory. * Valid visa and passport. * Willingness and ability to travel. * Experience in protein procurement. * Knowledge of SQF Safety Quality Foods, HACCP, and NAM 125
