Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Materials Planner to manage purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and inventory control at Perfetti Van Melle. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages material purchase orders and conducts daily follow-up with suppliers. 2. Performs demand analysis and plans responses to changes. 3. Supervises inventory level control and prevents obsolescence. **About the Role** Perfetti Van Melle (manufacturer of Mentos, Chupa Chups, Airheads) is one of the world’s largest confectionery and chewing gum manufacturers and distributors, with global brands enjoyed in over 150 countries. We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Materials Planner to join our growing team. **What You’ll Do** * Generate and manage material purchase orders according to production plan requirements, considering the planning parameters for each material. * Address supplier payment clarifications arising from price discrepancies between invoices; report any deviations and purchase orders in SAP to the demand planner. * Conduct daily follow-up on purchase orders. * Manage returns due to quality rejections via credit notes. * Share 12-month forecast with suppliers. * Review material requirements based on received production plans. Analyze demand (increases/decreases) and plan accordingly to respond. * Perform daily coverage review, identify and resolve issues, and track critical materials to avoid impact on production lines. * Supervise control of raw material and packaging material inventory levels, avoiding excesses and obsolescence. * Notify warehouse and quality departments daily regarding the material receipt schedule and support receipt data documentation. * Respond to information requests concerning scope and volume updates for the Purchasing and WO departments. * Send communication letters to suppliers. * Send monthly material delivery plans to suppliers along with purchase orders. * Update the monthly supplier evaluation (OTIF). * Provide feedback to suppliers semi-annually. * Update the production plan weekly. * Validate in the MRP file that no material shortages exist for the subsequent 12 weeks. * Update the MRP once per month based on the new MPS (Master Production Schedule) to generate purchase orders aimed at meeting future demand for the next three months. **What We Need From You** **Education**: Industrial Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Administration, or related field. **Experience**: Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply planning, production planning, or MRP. Experience in material supply for fast-moving consumer goods and/or food industry preferred, with at least one year of experience in procurement or similar roles.
