Job Summary: Perfetti Van Melle is seeking a passionate Materials Planner to manage material purchase orders, track their fulfillment, and oversee inventory levels to support production plans. Analyzes demand and plans responses to changes **About the Role** Perfetti Van Melle (manufacturer of Mentos, Chupa Chups, Airheads) is one of the world’s largest confectionery and chewing gum manufacturers and distributors, with global brands enjoyed in over 150 countries. We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Materials Planner to join our growing team.**What You’ll Do** * Generate and manage material purchase orders aligned with production plan requirements, considering each material’s planning parameters. * Address supplier payment clarifications arising from price discrepancies between invoices; report any deviations and purchase orders in SAP to the demand planner. * Track purchase orders on a daily basis. * Manage returns due to quality rejections via credit notes. * Share 12-month forecast with suppliers. * Review material requirements based on received production plans. Analyze demand (increases/decreases) and plan accordingly to respond. * Conduct daily review of inventory coverage, identify and resolve issues, and follow up on critical materials to prevent production line impact. * Supervise control of raw material and packaging material inventory levels, avoiding excess and obsolete stock. * Notify warehouse and quality departments daily about the material receipt schedule and support receipt data documentation. * Respond to information requests regarding scope and volume updates for the Procurement and WO departments. * Send official communication letters to suppliers. * Send monthly material delivery plans to suppliers along with purchase orders. * Update the monthly supplier performance evaluation (OTIF). * Provide biannual feedback to suppliers. * Update the production plan weekly. * Validate in the MRP file that no material shortages exist for the subsequent 12 weeks. * Update the MRP monthly based on the new MPS (Master Production Schedule) to generate purchase orders aimed at fulfilling the next three months’ demand. **What We Need From You** **Education**: Industrial Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Administration, or related field. **Experience**: Minimum 3 years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or MRP. Experience in material supply within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and/or food industries is preferred, ideally with at least one year of experience in procurement or similar roles.
