The candidate will be responsible for **developing, maintaining, and optimizing mission-critical business applications** on mainframe platforms, participating in system analysis, development, testing, and support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with **COBOL, JCL, and databases in mainframe environments**, as well as the ability to analyze existing processes and propose improvements. Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and enhance **COBOL** applications within **Mainframe** environments. * Analyze functional and technical requirements to implement solutions. * Create and modify **JCL** for batch processing. * Conduct unit and integration testing. * Investigate and resolve production incidents. * Document developments and technical processes. * Collaborate with analysts, architects, and other developers. Requirements * **3+ years of experience** developing in **COBOL**. * Experience working in **Mainframe environments (IBM z/OS)**. * Knowledge of **JCL**. * Experience with **CICS and/or DB2**. * Understanding of **batch and online** processes. * Experience in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Desirable Qualifications * Experience in the **banking or financial sector**. * Knowledge of **VSAM**. * Experience with version control or DevOps tools for mainframe. * Familiarity with integration with modern systems or APIs.
