Position Summary: Supervises and coordinates customs operations, transportation logistics, and regulatory compliance in foreign trade, managing teams and ensuring efficiency. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in customs legislation and foreign trade (IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA) 2. Advanced handling of Annex 24, Annex 30, and VUCEM 3. Comprehensive coordination of international land and maritime transportation **Knowledge:** · General knowledge of the Foreign Trade Law, Customs Law, LIVA, TIGIE 2026, PROSEC, IMMEX, CIVA, OEA. · Proficiency in VUCEM · Annex 30 · Annex 24 · Tariff classification of goods, machinery, and equipment · Knowledge of transportation: · **Land:** Cross-border crossings, Domestic USA, National, inbon Mexico\-USA–Canada. · **Maritime:** Asia\-Mexico, Asia–USA\-Mexico. · U.S. Customs: HTS, reciprocal tariffs, EEPA, Section 301, Section 232, U.S. reconciliation, monthly ACH duty payments, ACE portal reports. **Responsibilities:** Plan the customs operation cycle for each finished product with subordinates, including: · Preparation of BOMs for all part numbers of each product · Cost calculation · Certificates of Origin · Strict tracking of container logistics carrying goods to production plants to ensure on-time material arrival. · Supervise team’s execution of export unloading, material validity management, prevention of pedimento expiration, and regime changes. · Reconcile machinery and equipment against pedimentos and fixed assets recorded by the Finance Department, and ensure proper labeling for annual inventory. · Supervise correct use of Annex 24 by the team. · Conduct monthly Annex 24 audits to identify discrepancies against the monthly GLOSA/DATASTAGE report. · Conduct monthly physical inventory audits against Annex 24 and Annex 30 balances, and manage obsolete materials in coordination with the Materials Department. · Upload monthly Annex 30 discharge records; maintain control over the IVA credit account balance. · Supervise timely and proper closure of consolidated pedimentos (review settlement schedule) with the team. · Supervise proper maintenance of physical and electronic archives of pedimentos and their annexes. · Generate and maintain documentary files according to legal requirements. · Track expenses related to land and maritime transportation, and customs agencies. **Skills:** · Ability to work under pressure with quick, assertive responses. · Logistics cost calculations – market cost analysis · Calculation of duties and taxes for U.S. and Mexican customs. · Excellent interdepartmental communication, as well as with logistics providers and customs brokers/agents in Mexico and the United States. · Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills across the supply chain and customs operations, including: o Coordination of material import/export with freight forwarders, brokers, and customs agencies. o Efficiency in cross-border transportation operations, expo/impo documentation processes, inbon procedures, and container imports via Ensenada and Long Beach. · Database management in Excel for controlling and analyzing Annex 24, Annex 30, and SAP balances.
