A banking-sector company in CDMX is seeking **Kafka Streams Developer MD (bilingual)** * Experience level: Middle, 3 to 4 years * English: B2 Intermediate \- Advanced (assessment will be conducted) Essential Competencies * Java 17\+ * Kafka Streams * Spring * Maven/Gradle * Confluent Kafka * Schema Registry * Avro/Protobuf/JSON Schema SerDes * Development-level observability (structured logs, application metrics) * Git/BitBucket * Unit testing tools (JUnit) Desirable * Knowledge of Wealth Management business KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * **Design and implement Kafka Streams topologies (map, filter, join, aggregate, windowing), considering partitioning, keys, event ordering, and strategies to maintain state consistency.** * Implement event enrichment and standardization: validations, field normalization, transformation into canonical models, and emission of derived events—with robust error handling and exceptional-case management. * **Manage state stores and state persistence: store selection, changelog topic configuration, compaction strategy, and considerations for failure recovery or rebalances.** * Optimize performance: minimize hot partitions, tune SerDes, reduce costly joins, control state size, and design flows that support throughput spikes with stable latency. * **Collaborate with consumer teams and architects: define output contracts (event schemas), version compatibility, and reprocessing (reset/replay) strategy when rules or schemas change.
