Senior Java Production Support Engineer

Description

We are looking for a **Senior Java Production Support Engineer** to join a cross\-functional scrum team that supports a large Wealth Management firm operating under a broker\-dealer model. You will deliver L3 application support for Java\-based applications, implement minor and major enhancements, and help design and develop secure backend services and APIs. **Responsibilities** * Develop, enhance, and maintain code for Java\-based applications * Build backend microservices and REST APIs * Deliver L3 application support and implement minor/major enhancements * Conduct unit testing and perform code reviews * Engage in Scrum ceremonies, estimation, and planning sessions * Mentor fellow developers and collaborate with peers * Partner closely with the offshore team * Contribute to application documentation, including architecture documents **Requirements** * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field * 3\+ years of hands\-on development experience * Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC * Proficiency in Spring Batch, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA * Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture * Background in Kubernetes, SQL, and Log Management and Analysis * Familiarity with Apache Kafka * Understanding of secure backend services and API design and development * Skills in TDD, BDD, and Single Page Application design and development * Competency in full\-stack application design and data modeling * Readiness to study legacy code and continuously learn * Proficiency in English communication (B2 level or higher) **Nice to have** * Background in Financial Services within the wealth management domain * Familiarity with ReactJS * Understanding of Java Microservice Infrastructure * Knowledge of Spring Core * Expertise in DevOps and QA practices
