Senior Java Production Support Engineer

Description

We are seeking a **Senior Java Production Support Engineer** to join a cross\-functional scrum team supporting a large Wealth Management firm operating in a broker\-dealer model. In this role, you will provide L3 application support for Java\-based applications, perform minor and major enhancements, and contribute to the design and development of secure backend services and APIs. **Responsibilities** * Develop, enhance, and maintain code for Java\-based applications * Build backend microservices and REST APIs * Provide L3 application support and perform minor/major enhancements * Perform unit testing and conduct code reviews * Participate in Scrum ceremonies, estimation, and planning sessions * Mentor other developers and collaborate with peers * Work closely with the offshore team * Contribute to application documentation, including architecture documents **Requirements** * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field * 3\+ years of development work experience * Hands\-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC * Proficiency in Spring Batch, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA * Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture * Background in Kubernetes, SQL, and Log Management and Analysis * Familiarity with Apache Kafka * Understanding of secure backend services and API design and development * Skills in TDD, BDD, and Single Page Application design and development * Competency in full\-stack application design and data modeling * Willingness to study legacy code and continuously learn * Proficient communication skills in English (B2 level or higher) **Nice to have** * Financial Services background in wealth management * Exposure to ReactJS * Familiarity with Java Microservice Infrastructure * Knowledge of Spring Core * Background in DevOps and QA practices
