SAP Data Archiving Consultant (Hands-on)

Description

We are seeking an SAP Data Archiving Consultant (hands-on) to participate in a specialized SAP data archiving project for a bank in Mexico. The candidate will focus on executing and configuring Data Archiving processes in SAP ECC / S/4HANA environments, following a pre-defined strategy. The objective is to reduce historical data volume, optimize system performance, and ensure archived information remains available for legal and audit purposes. **Remote, full-time project with an estimated duration of 20 weeks.** **Responsibilities** * Execute and configure SAP Data Archiving processes. * Analyze tables with the highest growth rates and identify archiving objects with potential for reduction. * Configure archiving objects and write/delete variants in SAP. * Configure or provide support for integration with OpenText / SAP Content Server, as defined by scope. * Ensure archived data remains accessible to end users. * Monitor archiving jobs to avoid impact on daily operations. * Support technical preparation of the environment for SAP S/4HANA. * Work according to pre-defined archiving guidelines and strategy. **Requirements** * Recent and verifiable experience in SAP Data Archiving. * At least 3 Data Archiving implementations/projects, ideally at large scale. * Hands-on configuration experience—not limited to coordination or supervision. * Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA. * Knowledge of SAP Basis. * Experience with SAP HANA. * Experience with OpenText / SAP Content Server. * Experience in Cloud environments. * Knowledge of database analysis and table growth patterns. * Banking or high-transaction-volume organization experience is desirable. * Intermediate English proficiency, primarily for technical documentation. * Full-time availability with overlap to Mexico business hours. **Benefits** * Remote and temporary project—ideal for independent consultants with specific archiving expertise. * Participation in a specialized SAP Data Archiving project for a banking institution. * Exposure to SAP ECC / S/4HANA, SAP HANA, OpenText, and Cloud environments
