FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE
Position objective
Manage FFWD operations—both MME and EME—nationwide by monitoring expenses, advances, provisions, and guarantees to ensure their accurate and timely transmission to the International Administration team.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Commercial Relations, or related field
* Language: Advanced English
* 3 years’ experience in International Trade (Customs Procedures), International Logistics (Air, Ocean, Land, Multimodal, Customs Clearance, and Cargo Insurance), and an International Network of Freight Forwarding Agents
* Intermediate Excel: Pivot Tables, report generation
Job functions or responsibilities
* Manage FFWD operations based on instruction letters received from the commercial department and in accordance with client instructions, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
* Manage expenses incurred in the area: invoicing, advances, guarantees, and provisions, ensuring their accurate retransmission to the administrative department. This is done via reports generated in systems (Smart Sheet and Logitude) and those provided by the International Administrative Department, to supply International Administration with expense documentation in a timely and accurate manner for proper compensation in the system (SAP) and subsequent payment processing aligned with established vendor credit terms—or on an advance basis (if applicable).
* Submit cargo declarations to the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority) using the Valida Carga system, complying with freight forwarder guidelines and requirements set forth by the federal entity (SAT).
* Analyze supplier information by identifying suitable suppliers according to routes, transport modes, and requirements; negotiating rates; and obtaining required documentation for supplier onboarding—to execute customer-requested services across all transport modes.
* Generate backups in the system (Logistude), sending them to the responsible intercompany sales advisor to request manual invoices, and in all cases forwarding them to the company’s administration department—to ensure prompt billing for services rendered immediately upon completion of operations.
