Position Summary: We are seeking a Civil Engineer or Architect passionate about cost and budget planning across various project phases, including site analysis, base budgets, permitting budgets, and value engineering. Updating and analysis of cost databases (OPUS). **Description:** ---------------- We are looking for talent! **If you are a Civil Engineer or Architect and passionate about cost and budget planning, this opportunity is for you:** **Responsibilities and activities:** **Parametric Budgets and Site Analysis** * Initial scope meeting and project closing meeting with internal suppliers * Analysis of infrastructure required to implement the project solution * Generate budgets based on parametric costs * Analyze resulting costs and compare against historical prices * Provide cost feedback to involved departments * Final delivery to internal client **Base Budget** * Initial scope meeting and project closing meeting with suppliers * Review of project information * Establish catalog * Quantify volumes * Generate unit prices * Integrate cost of the solution * Provide cost feedback to involved departments * Identify deviations or overcosts in critical items * Analyze resulting cost and compare against similar projects and/or parametric budgets * Generate scope drawing and submit for General Management approval * Present approved budget scope to internal clients **Permitting Budget** * Generate permitting budget * Generate construction schedule * Generate detailed budget breakdown * Final delivery to internal client **Value Engineering** * Propose alternatives to optimize material, design, and construction process costs * Cost-benefit evaluation * Request quotations **Database Update (OPUS)** * Generate and analyze price comparisons * Update material, labor, and equipment prices **Assignment Review** * Review scope and unit prices versus base budget **Requirements:** --------------- **Professional education:** Architecture or Civil Engineering **Work experience:** 3–5 years of experience in cost planning, costing, and budgeting, cost control Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD, Office, and APU software **What we seek in you:** * Unit price analysis * Strategic focus and risk identification * Knowledge of urbanization processes * Technical credibility, initiative, and conceptual thinking
