YOUR ROLE The Materials Technician/Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the manufacturing process, guaranteeing timely supply of raw materials, inventory control, and operational continuity of production. This position actively participates in demand planning, MRP system administration, tracking of critical materials, and coordination across departments—including procurement, quality, production, and engineering—contributing to the achievement of operational objectives, quality standards, and continuous improvement strategies within the automotive supply chain. RESPONSIBILITIES * + Plan raw material requirements according to the production schedule. + Monitor inventories of electronic components, raw materials, and WIP. + Administer MRP systems in SAP/ERP. + Ensure kanbanization of materials on the production line. + Analyze demand and consumption variations across warehouses. + Track critical materials and escalations. + Coordinate engineering changes (ECN/ECR) related to materials. + Monitor inventory levels and coverage. + Control obsolete and slow-moving materials. + Implement Lean strategies for inventory reduction. + Manage component traceability. + Coordinate annual, cycle, and audit inventories. + Develop KPI reports and analysis. + Support project launches and transfers. + Ensure compliance with FIFO and IATF 16949\. + Coordinate contingency plans for supply risks. + Collaborate with procurement, quality, and production to ensure continuous flow.
