YOUR ROLE The Packaging Technician is responsible for managing and controlling packaging materials used in production and logistics processes, ensuring availability, traceability, and proper use of reusable and disposable containers. This position works closely with production, warehouse, shipping, suppliers, and customers to guarantee efficient packaging flow, compliance with automotive standards, and operational continuity—contributing to inventory optimization, loss reduction, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage inventories of reusable and disposable packaging. * Monitor container availability for production and shipping. * Validate physical condition of racks, pallets, totes, and containers. * Administer packaging material receipts and issues in ERP/SAP ASN systems. * Coordinate packaging recovery and return with customers and suppliers. * Ensure compliance with automotive packaging specifications. * Supervise container labeling and traceability. * Generate inventory, loss, and damage reports. * Track packaging discrepancies. * Coordinate maintenance or repair of damaged containers. * Support internal, customer, and IATF certification audits. * Implement FIFO and 5S controls in packaging areas. * Coordinate shipments of empty and reusable packaging. * Monitor packaging efficiency and utilization metrics. * Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards. YOUR EXPERIENCE * Reusable packaging management. * Cycle counting. * FIFO / FEFO. * RF scanners and barcodes. * Automotive traceability. * OEM requirements. * Document control. * 5S and continuous improvement. * Logistics metrics.
